MARRIAGE IS A LOTTERY

    Marriage may be a union between two persons having different ideologies, personalities and socioeconomic backgrounds. Although both the mates make the selection with keen eye yet is is not certain that their union may prove a success. The result of a marriage are often unpredictable, going either way; success or failure. As in a lottery, it is not certain to win a prize, identical is the case with the marriage. So the outcome of successful marriage are regarded as lottery. Marriage can be declared a lottery in more than one aspects which may be economic, social or moral. If a man is wed-locked in a well-to do family, he gets financial boom. There is also likelihood that one may get economic prosperity by dowry, dower and marriage gifts. In doing so, their economic stature rises at once, making the marriage a lottery for them. As far as moral aspects are concerned, mostly sexually perverted individuals leave the evil habits. So the marriage proves a lottery for them by elevating their morality. Marriage is a social intercourse of two families; this union sometimes brings better prospects for the both. If man and wife have understanding, trust on each and cooperation, their home becomes a paradise on Earth. So the marriage is a big lottery for them. In sum, the act of marriage is identical to taking a leap in the dark. If someone steps on plain soil, it is a lottery for him.
