Why the sky looks blue? Prof Waqar Hussain
Why the sky looks blue?
PROF WAQAR HUSSAIN
Ans:-
The sky known to us in nothing but air with billions of tiny dust particles
floating in it. Its blue colour is got from the sun.
The light from the sun is a mixture of
violet, blue, green, yellow, orange and red rays. But we never see these
colours separately except when they appear to us in a rainbow. The
red-orange-yellow rays of light come straight down to earth from the sun. But
the violet-blue-green rays behave
differently as they are scattered by the tiny
dust particles in the air. When we look up, the blue light rays are seen
reflected by the dust particles. Thus, we see a blue sky.
Nice very good rida
