                       NATURAL AND EASY WAY TO KILL MOSQUITO.

               An anti-dengue seminar was held at Govt Postgraduate T.I. college Chenab Nagar. Prof Waqar Hussain delivered a speech drawing an attention to eradicate mosquito by adopting selective, targeted and natural method. He said there are about 100 trillion mosquitoes of 3500 species in the world. Mosquito infect 700 million people annually with fatality to the tune of 3 million per year. In order to control mosquito-born disease like Dengue, malaria, filaria, etc. Mosquito population must be wiped off  but that is not feasible practically.The most powerful insecticide are only 10% effective,  mosquito repellents have limited efficacy The pragmatic and prudent approach is to differentiate between friendly and foe mosquitoes. There are three major species culex, anopheles and aedes. Culex mosquitoes are above 90% that are harmless for human. Culex mosquito are mostly brown or grey with stout body, unspotted wings and body and its sitting posture is parallel to the surface. 

             Anopheles (which cause malaria) have palps which are as long as proboscis and have black and white scales on the wings.Anopheles can easily be identified by their typical sitting posture, abdomen sticking up in the air, making an angle of 45 degree with the surface.

            Aedes, which cause dengue, are typical small and have black and white stripes marking on their bodies and legs. Aedes have a white "lyre" on their thorax with two yellow chords in the centre. Aedes rest with abdomen parallel to surface and head pointing downward. Aedes form concourse never exceeding six in number. By this differentiation, it becomes easy to obliterate fewer mosquito successfully. 

           Furthermore, only female anopheles and aedes bite human for protein and iron and spread diseases. So, only female mosquitoes are dangerous. Female mosquito are slightly larger, have long proboscis, less bushier antenna, and utter fainter whinny buzz of 400 Hertz.While male mosquitoes are smaller, have short proboscis and long pulps appearing in shape of Greek letter psi, bushier antenna and make buzz of higher tone of 600 Hertz. 

           By identifying female mosquito, number of enemy mosquito reduces to much less that 1%, making it easy to kill them.

          The natural and easy way to kill mosquitoes is the use the slap or clap. It is aged long, effective, and innate way of killing mosquito, bestowed by Allah the Almighty. Whenever mosquito sits on any part of body, human slaps that portion unconsciously even during sleep, killing her in most of cases. So, we should follow nature's impregnated innate reaction of slapping to kill mosquito. By selection of pernicious mosquito and then using hands , We can eradicate malaria and dengue within days. If every person kill 10 mosquitoes per day, 18 million people will kill about 2 billion mosquitoes per day. So, thappar mar tay Machar mar.(kill mosquito with slaps.)
