College sets up dengue control committee

CHENABNAGAR - In order to create awareness about the dengue disease, a Dengue Control Committee have been set up at Govt TI College here the other day. The committee is headed by Dr Waqar Hussain and logistic In-charge Dr Qasim Shah.
Other members are Dr Naeem, monitoring of New Campus, Dr Nawaz for cleanliness, spray, Dr M Yasin will organize awareness seminars on prevention of dengue fever. He will also make pamphlets in English language.
While Dr Awais Butt will make pamphlets in Urdu, Dr Tariq Sidhu mosquito related activities, like how to avoid dengue fever outbreak and what precautionary measures are needed particularly in indoor areas, laboratory In-charge Masood and Laboratory In-charge Rana Muhammad Sarwar for paper work.
The committee has been constituted under the ‘Dengue Action Plan 2012’ to eradicate the deadly dengue disease.
Annual Sports competition started: 65th Annual Sports competition started at Govt TI College here on Tuesday.
College Principal Ch Jehangir Ahmad inaugurated the event and advised the students to follow Olympic Motto. “Struggle for win is more important than win.” Prize distribution ceremony and annual dinner will be held on March 8. Chief Executive Iqbal Rice Mills Ch Masood Iqbal will grace the occasion as Chief Guest.
Notables, among Executive, Judiciary, lawyers, doctors, professors, and journalists have been invited to glorify the final day ceremony and to encourage sports activities of the students.
